The fruit of the monks, the new fashionable sweetener

A new kid in the natural sweetener category on the market of sugar substitutes: the monk fruit also called "fruit of the monk", native to Southeast Asia, it has a sweetening power 300 times higher than that of sugar. This small oval fruit cross between apple and kiwi, promises a sweet taste for zero calories. Growing in southern China and northern Thailand, it is used in traditional Chinese medicine to treat diabetes and obesity as well as inflammatory conditions, colds and sore throat. Centuries ago, Buddhist monks cultivated it for its medicinal properties, hence its name "fruit of the monks".

Those who are a little put off by the licorice aftertaste of the stevia leaf extract will appreciate the more neutral taste of this fruit. The traditional sweetener, Lakanto is the only zero-calorie sweetener, zero glycemic, no artificial flavors and no aftertaste. In a healthy diet, there is no room for artificial sweeteners, like aspartame, slice pharmacist Jean-Yves Dionne, so try it in your favorite recipes.
Dandy Blend the new roasted dandelion coffee
Dandy Blend Instant Dandelion Drink is the only substitute for herbal coffee in the United States that has both the health benefits of dandelion and the rich, full-bodied flavor, sweetness and texture of real coffee. Many say that because it lacks bitterness and acidity, it actually tastes better than coffee. Gluten free!
Dandy Blend is made from fully water-soluble extracts of three roasted grass roots: dandelion, chicory and sugar beet and two roasted grains, barley and rye. It is naturally sweetened by the fructose released by the decomposition of starch inulin stored during the roasting of dandelion and chicory roots. All ingredients were chosen because of the health benefits that are historically associated with them. Each cup contains 630 mg of dandelion extract and chicory. In Dandy Blend, you get the best of all worlds! Nothing compares to that in terms of flavor, ease of use and health-beneficial efficacy. Try, you will like it!
